The recently held Parisian exhibition Maison&Objet has become clear proof that blue will remain a trend in interior design for a long time to come. It was present in the design of literally all the stands. It’s hard not to notice how manufacturers of furniture and finishing materials actively use blue shades in their new collections.
We all remember that hot and juicy shade Greenery was named this year’s color, but now the attention turns to the deeper emerald greens. In general, this fall’s favorite is a rich green with a blue note called Shaded Spruce. Subdued, harmonious, internally rich, looking at it creates a sense of calm and peace.
The tropics still hold sway. Do you want in your home a feeling of hot summer all year round? Consider fabrics and wallpapers with banana leaves, vegetation, exotic birds or flowers. Basically they all contain green hues in one way or another. In the store Room Decor I noticed a bright tropical collection Palm Springs from the German factory “KT Exclusive”, and I also fell in love with the handmade wallpaper of ARTISTS GUILD famous brand (Dream Forest series).
Over the past few years gray has actively replaced white and beige, and is unlikely to give up its position in the coming years. For me this color is even timeless and will always be relevant. I really like to use it in my projects and I’ve noticed that these days warm shades of gray with a touch of coffee/beige are more in demand. It can be fabrics with an interesting texture or textile wallpaper, which would be especially suitable for the bedroom and make it incredibly cozy. Bet on textured materials with a pleasant to the touch surface. In the Manders showroom, take a long time to feel the Harlequin brand wallpaper from the Callista collection, created by Clarissa Hulse. They are incredible!
It’s a classic color combination that’s time-tested. I love the versatility of this pair, as it can be safely complemented with any other color. “Black + white” will look especially good in Scandinavian style, Art Deco, strict classic interiors, as well as minimalist modern ones.
Recently, designers like to use spicy natural colors like terracotta, warm yellow, ochre and copper. It would be great for fall!
Are still popular complex geometric prints in the interior, they can be found now in the range of almost any brand. Make a bet on the color or uniqueness of the pattern. I like the Geometric collection of English brand Cole&Son, found in the Salon “Interior+. Stylish. Swedish.”
